There are plenty of good burger and sausage alternatives on the market. This vegan bbq course isn’t about burgers and sausages stuck between bread rolls. It’s about something far more inspiring and exciting! Learn how to create a vegan bbq with a twist, an OFFBEET twist. Epic marinades, spice rubs and sauces to light up those taste buds. Join us to showcase how vegetables can be the highlight of any bbq. Our new vegan bbq course has dishes to have your guests bowled over at how vegetables can become epic explosions of flavour. All taught on the grounds of our restaurant and cookery school at the Organic Vegetable Farm Sunnyfields.

Weather permitting your dishes will be finished on a charcoal bbq, served with a refreshing glass of Pimms from the restaurant.

All our courses have a big focus on techniques so you’ll be honing those knife skills. You’ll also be learning about the advantages and disadvantages of using charcoal vs. gas. All our recipes are very adaptable so you can go away inspired to create your own versions at home.

Typical dishes on the vegan bbq course you may cook are:

  • Lebanese oyster mushroom skewers with charred flat breads.
  • Mexican street corn with home-made lime mayo dressing and smokey spice rub.
  • Chimichurri cauliflower steaks.
  • Chilli and lime melon salsa.
  • Black pepper BBQ Korean Aubergines.
  • Creamy slaw with oranges and roasted cashews
  • Cuban mojo potatoes.

This vegan bbq course can be made suitable for gluten free diets, however we ask that you always contact us first to ensure we can cater for you. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule our courses should we not meet the minimum number of students to run the course.
